Tang Soo Do created by Hwang Kee is a traditional Korean martial art which
blends Korean Tae Kyun, Okinawan karate and kung fu.
How long does it take to get a Black Belt?
It takes between three to four years under the UTA program.
What are the benefits of karate?
Karate training provides physical fitness, confidence and self defense skills
What is the best form of martial art?
All martial arts have the same goals it is simple a mater of how they reach it.
There is no “best” style or method.
Do adults practice with children?
At UTA Delta children and adults do practice together so families can train
together and that students can learn and be inspired by each other. For example,
children learn discipline from the adults and adults can be motivated by the
children’s energy.
Will karate make my child aggressive?
Karate teaches one to defend themselves however they also learn to use self
discipline and good judgment.
How old does one have to be to take karate?
It is recommended that children start around six years old beyond that there is
no age limit.
